Shaboozey brought a full Western atmosphere to the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, turning his performance into a cinematic saloon scene before Gunna joined him onstage.
During the awards show in Los Angeles, Shaboozey opened with Cowgirl, performing inside a Western-style set filled with dancers and cowboy imagery. Gunna then made his entrance in a black carriage for High Noon, their collaboration from Shaboozey’s latest album. The staging continued to build throughout the song, eventually ending with the saloon appearing to go up in flames.
The performance arrived during another busy stretch for Shaboozey. Cowgirl earned nominations at this year’s VMAs for Best Country and Best Cinematography, adding to the attention surrounding his recent music.
High Noon appears on The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales, a project that continues Shaboozey’s mix of country influences and contemporary production. He is also taking the music on the road with his Outlaws Never Die Tour, extending the album’s Western themes from the studio to live audiences.
