Gogebic Community College recently approved Dr. Terri Winfree as the interim Vice President of Academics during a special meeting.
The college said Winfree’s 30 years of experience in higher education, including extensive leadership experience, made the decision straightforward.
Winfree holds a Ph.D. in education and human resources from Colorado State University, and master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Governors State University. She also holds an associate degree from Prairie State College.
Most recently, Winfree served as Prairie State College’s president and helped establish the college’s Higher Learning Commission accreditation.
