Michigan Technological University names M. Emin Kutay as the chair of the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geospatial Engineering. Kutay comes to Houghton from East Lansing. For the past 18 years, he has taught at Michigan State University, leading classrooms as a professor of civil and environmental engineering.
During his tenure at MSU, Kutay developed an internationally recognized program in pavement engineering, infrastructure materials and computer modeling.
