In the NBA tournament yesterday…
- The Pistons advanced, overcoming a 3-1 series deficit by defeating the Magic 116-94. Detroit took command with a 40-point second quarter, then held Orlando to just 15 points in the third. Cade Cunningham had 32 points and 12 assists. Tobias Harris added 30 points, and Jalen Duren grabbed 15 rebounds. The Pistons win the first-round series 4-3, and will open their Eastern Conference semifinal series at home against the Cavaliers tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 6:35 on 99.3 The Lift.
- The Cavaliers advanced with a 114-102 victory over the Raptors in the seventh game of their opening-round series.

MLB
Six Tigers relievers carried the day as Detroit buried the Rangers 7-1 yesterday. Brant Hurter pitched from the fourth inning into the seventh, and earned the win. Spencer Torkelson broke a scoreless tie with a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth. Kevin McGonigle singled home a run in the sixth, and another in the seventh, and Matt Vierling added a two-run double.
The Tigers open a home set against the Red Sox tonight. Tarik Skubal will start against Payton Tolle. Coverage will begin at 6:15 on 99.3 The Lift.
Detroit brought infielder Zack Short up from Toledo yesterday, and demoted infielder Jace Jung. To make room for Short on the 40-man roster, pitcher Grant Holman was designated for assignment.
Pitcher Troy Melton may be on his way back to Detroit. Melton has been sidelined by right elbow inflammation since early in spring training. He began a rehab assignment with the Lakeland Flying Tigers yesterday, and could be ready to compete for a starting rotation spot by late this month.
The Brewers dropped a 3-2 decision to the Nationals yesterday. Logan Henderson took the tough loss, giving up two runs on three hits over six innings, while striking out eight.
The Brewers open a series at Saint Louis tonight. Chad Patrick will pitch against Kyle Leahy.
Milwaukee brought pitcher Logan Henderson back up from Nashville yesterday, and sent Easton McGee back down to the Sounds. The Crew had hoped to get Jackson Chourio back from the injured list today, but he fouled a ball off an ankle during a rehab appearance at Nashville on Saturday, and his return will be delayed.
