Copper Shores Community Health Foundation launches a new nutrition education program in the Copper Country.
Navigating Nutrition begins Thursday with the first presentation in a series from the Copper Shores Community Health Foundation. The first event, hosted by the Keweenaw Co-op, will have help from dietitians from Aspirus Keweenaw and UP Health Systems Portage.
Copper Shores Registered Dietitian Meghan Jaszczak will lead the series and kick off Navigating Nutrition by sharing information about accessing local nutrition services and how to develop personalized nutrition plans. A member from the Keweenaw Co-op team will also share information on various food access programs available to residents in the Copper Country.
The presentation will begin at 11 a.m. at the Keweenaw Co-op in Hancock. Future Navigating Nutrition sessions will be held in May and June.
