Culvert replacement project in Chassell starts next week

The Michigan Department of Transportation will replace a culvert in Chassell next week. Starting on Monday MDOT contractors will begin work to replace a culvert on us-41 north of Massie Road. The culvert was damaged by excessive rainfall. The department expects work to wrap up by Friday September 27th. While work takes place travelers can expect alternating traffic with a single lane closure. Temporary signals will be placed on both sides to control traffic flow.
