- L’Anse got past Chassell 69-60. Keegan Davidson led the Purple Hornets with 17 points. Talan Larson added 15.

The Baraga County Frozen Cup Youth Hockey Tournament will take place this weekend at Meadowbrook Arena. Check the game schedule here. Because of the tournament, this weekend’s open skating sessions at Meadowbrook have been canceled.

The Calumet Wolverines entertain the Mosinee Papermakers tonight at 7:30 at the Colosseum, and host the M and M Shamrocks tomorrow at 7:30.
The Portage Lake Pioneers entertain the Papermakers tomorrow at 7:30 at Dee Stadium.
NHL
The Red Wings lost 4-1 to the Flyers last night. Scott Laughton scored all four Philadelphia goals. Ben Chiarot netted his first of the season for Detroit. Cam Talbot made 32 saves.
The Wings host the Maple Leafs tomorrow, with coverage at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
NBA
The Pistons dropped an ugly 123-99 game to the Celtics last evening. Ron Holland III came off the bench to score 26 points for Detroit.

In last night’s NFL game, the Rams got past the 49ers 12-6 in a game that featured nothing but field goals.
