The high school football playoff pairings have been set…
- Calumet will open the Division Six playoffs Saturday at 1:00 at Traverse City Saint Francis. Coverage will begin at 12:40 on the Voice of the Copper Kings, KBear 102.3.
- L’Anse will open the Division Eight playoffs Friday at 7:00 at Bark River-Harris.
- Lake Linden-Hubbell will open the Eight-Player Division Two playoffs at home Saturday at 1:30 against North Central. Coverage will begin at 1:10 on Lite 96.3, Houghton’s Breeze.

College Soccer
The MTU women’s soccer team played Parkside to a 1-1 draw yesterday. Havanah Brockington scored the Huskies’ only goal.
The NMU women’s soccer team battled Ferris State to a 0-0 draw yesterday.
The Northern men’s team lost 2-0 to Saginaw Valley State yesterday. The win gave the Cardinals the GLIAC regular-season championship, with Northern dropping back to second place.
MLB
The Brewers and Rays will play game three of the World Series tonight in Saint Petersburg. Robert Gasser will start against former Brewer Freddy Peralta. Milwaukee leads the Fall Classic 2-0.
NHL
The Red Wings visit the Oilers tonight.
NBA
The Pistons stopped the 76ers 106-93 last evening. Cade Cunningham scored 26. Jalen Duren and Ausar Thompson both missed the game with injuries. Duren will be out at least two weeks. Thompson could be back tomorrow.
The Pistons visit the Knicks tomorrow.
The Bucks host the Pacers tonight.
NFL
Jake Bates’ chip shot field goal as time expired lifted the Lions to a 20-17 victory over the Packers yesterday. Jordan Love and Jared Goff each threw two touchdown passes.
The Seahawks smothered the Chiefs 20-3 in the Sunday night game.
The Cowboys visit the Eagles for the Monday night contest.
