Michigan Technological University will be holding their annual Fall Career Fair on Tuesday, September 29th in order to give employers and students the opportunity to connect with each other and discuss career possibilities. Occurring semianually, MTU’s Career Fair allows students to obtain internships, co-ops and even full-time positions for after graduation. In conjunction, Career Fest, a time period leading up to Career Fair, is held on the general campus mall and invites employers to set up a one-day display of their company, with very loose restrictions on what they can bring, fire trucks, foundry setups and racecars are not uncommon.
Many university students display a sense of uncertainty about future employment, especially in a field relevant to their course of study; the Career Fair and Career Fest are designed to alleviate these concerns by connecting the students with the people that will be actually hiring them.
Michigan Tech is asking the community for volunteers to assist with the coordination of the event. With a variety of roles to fulfill, everyone is encouraged to apply on the associated Career Fair GivePulse website.
