A water main break has disrupted service to residents in the Ripley area. Franklin Township will issue a 72-hour boil water advisory.
The break resulted in minimal water flow to affected customers. The township’s repair team is actively working to restore full water pressure to the system. Officials expect the system to return to normal operations by midday.
Residents in the affected area must boil water before using it for cooking, cleaning or consumption until the advisory is lifted. The precaution is standard procedure following main breaks to ensure water safety.
Customers experiencing service issues or needing additional information can reach Township Supervisor Mary Sears at (906) 231-7205.
