A Hancock man will plead guilty to maintaining a drug house and possession of methamphetamine following a plea hearing Monday in Houghton County 12th Circuit Court.
Dave Clayton Harvey Jr. appeared in court June 29 for the hearing. He was originally charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a drug house, possession of methamphetamine, using a computer to commit a crime, and was designated a second habitual offender.
Houghton County Prosecutor Dan Helmer offered Harvey a plea agreement, dropping the intent to deliver charge, the computer crime charge and the second habitual offender designation in exchange for guilty pleas to maintaining a drug house and possession of methamphetamine.
The agreement also stipulates that no reduction in sentence length can be applied without explicit consent from the prosecuting attorney.
A sentencing hearing will be scheduled within 30 to 40 days, subject to the court’s calendar.
