Before the snow melts away, Copper Harbor Trails Club will invite skiers to take an opportunity to ski down the East Bluff before the biking season gets underway.
For the first time, Copper Harbor Trails Club will host a 20-kilometer nordic ski race. The competition will traverse the club’s End of the Road trails system.
Visitors will also spend time at the East Bluff Campground and end the inaugural event with a celebration at the Mariner North for live music and awards.
CHTC Executive Director Adam Yeoman says the club looks forward to introducing a new recreation experience to the community, especially with the club’s work to expand winter recreation opportunities on the trail system.
Participants registering for the race event early will save money before prices rise after March 20.
The East Bluff Meltdown nordic ski event will take place on March 21, with the race beginning at 10 a.m. Activities at the East Bluff Campground will begin at 2 p.m.
