Governor Gretchen Whitmer appoints two people to the LSSU Board of Trustees. Recently, the Governor’s office announced several appointments to various boards and commissions throughout the state, including the appointment of Michael Day of Gaylord to the LSSU Board of Trustees.
Day is the CEO of Tribal Hub and previously served as the CIO for Cannery Casino Resorts. He also served the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians as the Director of Information Technology from 1989 to 2006. Day is also a member of the Lake Superior State Foundation Board.
A second appointment is Peter Scornaiencki of Sault Ste. Marie. Scornaiencki is the co-owner of Bordertown Chiropractic and previously served on the boards for the Chippewa Community Foundation and Hospice of the Eastern Upper Peninsula. Through his chiropractic knowledge, he has volunteered his services to the Lake Superior State athletics teams.
