- Lake Linden-Hubbell stopped Jeffers 47-33.
- L’Anse outscored Chassell 91-58. Five Purple Hornets reached double figures, led by Sam Lee’s 23 points. Luke Tarvis had 18 to lead the Panthers, Brayden Larson added 17 and Dayne Tarvis had 12.

The Northern Michigan men’s basketball team entertains Concordia tonight at 7:30.

Alex DeBrincat had two goals and an assist, as the Red Wings shaded the Flames 4-3 last evening. Axel Sandin-Pellikka and Dylan Larkin also scored, as Detroit built a 4-0 lead, then held off a furious third-period Calgary comeback. John Gibson made 34 saves.
The Wings visit the Oilers tonight. Coverage will begin after Calumet basketball on KBear 102.3.
NBA
The Bucks entertain the Celtics tonight.
The Pistons return to action tomorrow, when they host the Hawks. Coverage will begin at 6:35 on 99.3 The Lift.

MLB
The Tigers lost a pitcher in yesterday’s Rule Five draft. R.J. Petit was a 2021 14th-round draft pick. Last year, he split time between Double-A Erie and Triple-A Toledo, compiling a 2.44 ERA as a reliever. He was taken by the Rockies, who recently hired former Detroit pitching coordinator Gabe Ribas to be their assistant pitching coach. Petit will need to remain on the Rockies’ major league roster for the entire season, or be offered back to the Tigers.
