Houghton Police and MDNR warn of bear sighting in city limits

Michigan DNR and City of Houghton Police warn of bear sightings in town. The city of Houghton police department and MDNR have received multiple reports of bear sightings in city limits. During this time of year wildlife may seek an easy meal in the form of a bird feeder or trash. DNR officials suggest removing bird feeders from yards and limiting the amount of trash thrown out.
